Go-Live Readiness

Final readiness checklist before production-heavy usage in GitOpsHQ.

Go-Live Goal

Go live only when release, approval, rollback, and incident evidence paths are all tested end-to-end.

Must-Pass Checklist

  • Production environments have explicit policy and freeze behavior.
  • Approval rules are validated with real requester/approver separation.
  • One successful promotion and one successful rollback drill are completed.
  • Audit trail clearly shows requester, approver, executor, and outcome.
  • On-call team can run diagnostics and close incidents with evidence.

Sign-Off By Team

  • Confirms RBAC, grants, and break-glass standards are approved.
  • Confirms approval policy covers all high-risk production actions.
  • Confirms repeatable release and promotion execution checklist is used.
  • Confirms freeze/approval blockers are handled through documented process.
  • Confirms incident runbooks and rollback flows are operational.
  • Confirms evidence collection and closure template are adopted.
  • Confirms changes are consistently scoped and previewed before request.
  • Confirms handoff quality to approvers/operators meets team standard.

Final Dry-Run Sequence

Run a low-risk production-like release request.
Pass required approval gates with real approver accounts.
Execute and verify runtime status.
Run rollback preview and complete selective rollback drill.
Close with audit + runbook evidence package.
